Redtech use a variety of methods to ensure a resilient connection to the outside world.

Our core technology is the blend of connectivity in the form of Bonded DSL and Satellite connectivity.

Bonded DSL

Bonded DSL gives more redundancy over traditional DSL technologies as it has more connections to fall back on, it also has the added benefit of increased speed on both the upload and down load.

We have successfully used a Bonded DSL solution to sustain 600 wireless internet user, 60 press, 200 Voip handsets, 2 x live broadcasts (radio) and ATM transactions for all simultaneously.

 

Satellite

 

Unlike other providers that try to deploy satellite in an event environment we control every aspect of the connectivity. We do not use shared network space as this can adversely effect the reliability of the connection. We only use our own network space, this is uncontended and fully controllable, we have our own routing equipment in the ground station (where the satellite signal comes back to earth) we have an equipment presence in Norway, France, London, Hong Kong and New York, all earth stations are linked back to our core network via a highly resilient multipath VPN link allowing for direct interconnect at Telehouse London with most major broadcast companies, payment institutions and our own hosted equipment.

 

For a high availability requirement we run two or more satellite terminals at an event, using two separate satellites coming down in two separate countries, this way we can insure that your communication, payment, access control, reporting or broadcasts can be sent reliably no matter what.
